Now using the Elliptical Marquee Tool make a selection as shown:



Press delete to remove the selected portion from the ‘black highlight’ layer. Bring down the opacity of the ‘black highlight’ layer to 40% in the layers palette so that it looks like this:






We will now create the inner blue circle. Create a new layer called ‘blue circle’. Choose the Elliptical Marquee and trace out a circle inside the black circle as shown:



Apply the following styles to the ‘blue circle’ layer:





Now let’s apply a highlight to the blue layer. Create a new layer called ‘blue highlight’ and follow the procedure we used in Step 3. (Control click on the layer thumbnail next to the ‘blue circle’ to make a circular selection…) You should end up with this:





All that is left now is to put in a ‘play icon’. For this create a new layer and place it between the ‘blue circle’ and ‘blue highlight’ layers. Now choose the Polygon tool and with the following tool settings draw a triangle.



Bring down the opacity of this layer to about 90% so that we have this:



That’s it! We are done…
