This is the interface that we are going to build (drool!):




This is a pretty high detailed tutorial (is easily the biggest tutorial I have written, having about 55 screenshots) and could take you a while to complete. But I assure you, the end result, will be satisfying.



Okay guys, we got to begin somewhere. A circle seems to be a good place to start off. [Ahem, before that, you need to create a new document first (600px width & 600px height)]. Create a new layer called ‘body’. Grab the Ellipse tool from the toolbar and draw out a circle by holding down Shift while clicking and dragging on the canvas. The colour you choose for this is not significant at the moment because we are going to style it anyway using the layer styles.




Now we are going to style this circle. Right click on the ‘body’ layer on the layer palette and choose blending options. Apply the following styles to this layer:






If you have applied the styles correctly, you will get the following result:
